The District's Mission, in collaboration with the community, is to provide an educational setting utilizing innovative learning experiences insuring that every child will be able to maximize their potential and become responsible and productive citizens in a changing world.

What's Happening

Mt. Vista athletics has formed a booster club called the Cougar Club.  We encourage parents and community members to attend the first official meeting on Nov. 5th @ 5:30 in the transportation office.  Thereafter meetings will be the first Thursday of the month. If any questions contact Michele Gagnon 896-3023 or Lydia Smith 896-3004.

Mountain Vista:

National Junior Honor Society

The Mountain Vista Chapter of National Junior Honor Society is open to students in the seventh and eighth grades.  Students are invited to join based on a GPA of 85% or better, citizenship honor roll, leadership, and community service activities.

This year the NJHS members have raised money for the community food bank, served at a benefit dinner, and participated in the recycling program at Mt. Vista.

In June of 2010, students and parents will be traveling along with the NJHS sponsor, Nannette Soulé, to Washington DC.  They are looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled and educational week in our nation’s capital.
