Oracle School District Response to Novel H1N1 Flu (SWINE FLU)

The health and safety of students and staff is a priority of the Oracle School District. As the school year gets underway, we are very much aware of another potential surge of Novel H1N1 Flu, also known as “Swine Flu.”

We understand the public health concern of our parents, staff, and community. The Oracle School District is in regular communication with the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Pinal County Health Department. These departments monitor our state for flu cases and will advise us regarding further flu outbreak developments in Arizona.

Our Health Offices will monitor students for flu-like symptoms and will be sending home students who are sick with fevers and coughs. Under the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have planned responses that focus on prevention and preparation.

The Oracle School District wants to partner with you and prevent the spread of seasonal and Novel H1N1 flu in our community. We have provided easy access links to public health departments, information, and community resources.
