Hello!

I’m Monika Bond and I’ve been teaching since 1993--full-time at MVS since about 2000.  My background is in Foreign Languages and Geography, and  I also have a degree in Counseling. I have been fortunate to live on three continents, and like to share my experiences with the kids. I am married, have three grown children, and have lived in Oracle since 1981. 

My mission is to make fifth grade interesting and relevant. I learn as much from the kids each year as they learn from me! Students in my fifth grade class will discover that what they learn is useful in the real world. The students will challenge themselves to reach their highest potential, and will take pride in their own progress and accomplishments. Character development, social development, and refining academic skills will help them begin a smooth transition to adulthood—and hopefully they’ll have fun in the process!
